Organiser's comments :
The open mic is now acoustic and unplugged. We also provide a cajon and acoustic bass and encourage players to jam with one another. The opportunity is there to just get up and play 3 songs for a drink, however the latter half of the afternoon is gradually becoming more of a jam session. All instruments and abilities welcome. We no longer provide a PA or record every session - although some may still be recorded. The open mic is now in the front room (for a more cosy atmosphere) and we are completely un-plugged/acoustic. The session is now less formal and group participation and jamming is encouraged - although individuals and groups are still able to perform alone if/when they want to. The Black Horse is child and dog friendly and has a large beer garden. As the summer rolls out we may be doing more open mic outside to enjoy the sun.
How to find the venue :
Just outside of Monkgate Bar.
Travel advice :
There is a large car-park at the venue.
